Year 4 at Forest School
As we come to the end of Forest school with Year 4 I just wanted to reflect on their journey, developing their confidence in all weathers. Building curiosity through self-exploration and a deeper connection with the natural environment. One of the most meaningful aspects of our sessions has been the opportunity for pupils to experience an awareness of calm in nature.
It has been wonderful to see them relaxed, focused and more aware of their surroundings. This has allowed for more challenging activities with tools and building their resilience to new tasks. They should be very proud of what they achieved through the sessions and hope they carry the skill of mindfulness and appreciation for nature with them into the future.
The pupils completed a questionnaire to reflect on their experiences during the Forest school session. Some examples of their comments.
